Memorial Day Message from EIHS Chairman Nasser J. Kazeminy

As we gather this Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the courageous men and women of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. This solemn day holds a profound place in the heart of our country, reminding us not only of the cost of freedom but its true purpose, allowing us a collective act of national memory.

We do not honor these patriots for fighting against our enemies; we honor them for defending our nation and all it stands for. Their unwavering devotion to duty and country has secured the foundation upon which our democracy stands, and their heroism continues to inspire new generations who serve with the same honor and integrity.

Memorial Day is a time to reflect on their bravery, to express our collective gratitude, and to reaffirm our commitment to the values they fought to uphold—liberty, justice, and our resolute union. Let us honor these patriots, not only with ceremonies and flags, but with a moment of quiet contemplation of just how important our indisputable rights are to us all. In doing so, we keep the light of liberty burning, a beacon of hope and possibility to those struggling around the world.
